Notes regarding the webinars for all WATER+ course participants

 

  • The webinars (seminars presented over the internet) will be carried out using the “Zoom" platform. To follow the webinars all you have to do is to go the address: https://gu-se.zoom.us/my/rodneystevens where you can log in as a guest with your name.

  • The webinars will usually start at 14.30 (11.00 in Sweden) on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday.

  • Please use a headset if possible. This will help limit the echo that often happens when there are several participants. If you do not have a headset, it will be necessary for you to turn off your microphone while listening, and then you can turn it on if you are to ask a question (turning it off directly after you stop speaking so that the answer to your question won’t echo for everyone.

  • If there seems to be a delay in the video, it may help to turn off your own camera.  It is great if we can see each otherbut video requires good connections and we will have to test this as we go along.

  • If there are serious problems and you miss much of the presentation, don’t worry. We aim to record the presentations and post these on the website. You can also download the recorded videos and play them on your own computer (this may also save internet time if you have to pay for hook-up time). The videos can also be sent by email if this is better.

  • Considering the range of IT setups, we can expect some problems, but we don’t know exactly which problems these will be. Please be patient, and we’ll solve the situations that arise in one way or the other. In fact, this system analysis of our IT interactions would itself be quite an interesting model to look with the tools in this course (if the course was dealing with IT communications as a complex system for modeling....).
